The Methodist Episcopal Church, built in 1867, was likely closed in 1882, when the different branches of Methodism joined to form the Methodist Church of Canada (later United Church). Luke's Cemetery is multi-denominational and was built on land dontated by Philip Luke. The old section of Luke's Cemetery, contains the tombstones of many early pioneers, including Philip Luke and his family.
