Since no town plan was available, this area map was extracted from the Cornwall Township map in Belden's 1879 Historical Atlas.

This map was created before the Cornwall Canal was enlarged and shows the culvert and bridges that were used to cross over to Sheek Island.

Note the large vertical block in the centre of the town site. That was likely Christ Church. A second church, which would have been the Methodist (later United) Church, is located south west, closer to the water.

The small black boxes represent mills and other small industries.
