Aultsville town planAultsville town plan

This map showing the Aultsville town plan originated from Belden's Historical Atlas dated 1879.

The sawmill and McConnell's brickyards can be clearly seen on the south edge of town. The Loucks property was located along the river just west of the town site. On the northern boundary is the Michael Cook property with a toll gate. Private toll gates survived in Ontario until 1926.

The Grand Trunk Railway and station were north of the town site and don't appear on this map.
